(not so) Wordless Wednesday

As I said in a previous post, we have been busy, busy, busy as of late.  Lots of fun stuff in the mix though, so it doesn’t seem quite as bad as it could have been.  But, here are some of the things we’ve done the past week:

Last day of Kindergarten!

My DD has made it through her first year of public schooling.  I was fearful that it would not work with her immunity situation and her sometimes constant illnesses.  But, we had a good year health wise and she absolutely loved it (for all but a couple of weeks when her med levels were off and she was crying everyday about going to school).  So, that was a definite win!

We went to a bowling party for one of her school friends.  Nine little girls, bowling balls, pizza and lots and lots of laughter.  Definitely a fun party!  She says she wants to do a bowling party for her birthday this next year, but that is sure to change about a million times!

We got to spend some time with friends who we had not seen in a long, long time.  They have a little girl who is cute as a bug and Bean loved her.  It was a GREAT time!  I’m so glad we got to spend the time together and I hope this post will remind me in the future to plan to spend more time with them!

Our good friends got married on Saturday (after the bowling birthday party) in a beautiful outdoor setting.  We enjoyed the photo booth, the food, the dancing and our friends!

I had jury duty Monday morning.  This made me (1) glad I am NOT  an attorney in Butte County, (2) thankful I have never had to put my trust in a jury decision and (3) very thankful I did NOT get chosen for jury duty!

We then took off and started driving to the Central Valley to visit my in-laws.  We stayed in Turlock, got up at 8 a.m. for a swim in the hotel pool and then drove the rest of the way.  But, this was my Bean at about 7:30 a.m.

I see her teen years in the picture…

So, that is my last week in pictures.  Not exactly wordless, but still Wednesday.  🙂

  1. Absolutely, great pictures of DD, from the rainbow dress and million dollar smile to the tuckered out little one fast asleep. By the way, the Bowling, Bride and Bailiff combination seems rare for the average three day period.

By the way, have you seen “The Judge” with Robert Downey, Jr. and Robert Duvall? Great movie, but you might find of interest, RBJ’s character picked jurors based on what they had on their bumper stickers – the crazier ones made, with the saner ones being asked to leave.

    1. So wish I would have been creative enough to come up with Bowling, Bride and Bailiff title for the post! 🙂 And I have not seen The Judge, but I love both Robert Downey Jr and Robert Duvall AND the idea of picking jurors by their bumper stickers. 🙂 I will have to put it on my list of movies to watch. Thanks for the comment!
