Thankfulness Challenge

365 Days of Thankfulness – Day 5

Well, I feel like I’m on a roll with this.  A year is a long time, but it is good to find something good to post about every day.  I am still feeling stressed and overwhelmed, but I’m also feeling grateful, which is nice.

Today I am thankful to have the time and the ability to be involved in my DD’s life and education.  Today was a busy, busy day (aren’t they all?).  But, I was able to help out in my DD’s class (well, I actually just sat and cut up papers for her teacher, but that was relaxing).  I then came home and made soup in our crockpot for tonight’s “fun”draiser – the Soup and Serenade event, which I was able to attend, bring soup and help with the bake sale for 1/2 hour.

This weekend I will be doing “booth sales” of nuts with her for her Daisy troop.  She is so excited about doing this, it is INSANE!  And then on Sunday she will go to Children’s Choir at church, which I’m sure she will love.  And next Wednesday we have a Daisy meeting where we are collecting food for Turkey baskets to donate.  I get to do all these things with her and I’m so very thankful for that.  I am thankful for the time I have to spend with her.  I am thankful she is healthy enough to participate in all these things.  I am thankful that I am healthy enough to participate in all these things.  It is such a great feeling to see her doing things she really loves.

I need to remember how lucky I am to have the time with her I do.  Every. Single. Day.
